THE DIRECTOR'S CONCEPT FOR THE SHOW | Very likely Shakespeare's first play, Henry VI Part I opens a chaotic and violent epic of national decay chronicling into England's Wars of the Roses – Parts II and III. Employing a sparse aesthetic, this production will employ blank verse and combat, emphasizing the tension between man the animal in action, murdering to protect, or lying to save, and the moral man trying to rule by a developed human ethic. Can a man be “good” and politic?  Do you have to be a bad man to be a good King?  This dilemma of power, I believe, is still what makes history tragic; overweening  ambition by those wanting to wear the

Hollow Crown, made the lives of ordinary people very nasty, brutish and

short.  Come join us for the stately pageantry, as we create a theatrical

spectacle worthy the youthful, subversive, testosterone fueled

Shakespeare who authored this bold, insane world and seldom

produced work. Inclusive/Non-Traditional Casting will be used for

                                        this production.
